Live Webinar: Setting Up Your Small Business

Your business structure affects how much you pay in taxes, your ability to raise money, the paperwork you need to file, and your personal liability. It's also important to know what federal, state and/or local licenses and permits you require to start your business legally. 

Cal Coastal Small Business Development Center will present a one hour overview to provide the basic information to get you started to plan to set up your business structure and create a checklist to determine your requirements.

Host and SBDC director, Kelly Bearden will begin the webinar with an update on the California Dream Fund and other remaining available government pandemic relief programs.

Bearden will be joined by James Thomsen, lead SBDC consultant who specializes in business management, funding sources and international trade. They will discuss crowdfunding as a way to raise money to finance start-ups and businesses.

HYBRID: Cal Savers Retirement Plan

The State of California requires employers to have a retirement plan in place by June 30, 2022. Either through the state run CalSavers or another ERISA based plan. Join us as Micheal Faircloth from Raymond James conducts a training session to provide practical guidance for employers of all sizes regarding this new retirement plan requirement.
