Hear from three Angel Investors as they share their experience being part of AngelCon 2023.

An angel investor (also known as a private investor, seed investor or angel funder) is a high-net-worth individual who provides financial backing for small startups or entrepreneurs, typically in exchange for ownership equity in the company. While most people know AngelCon as a pitch competition that happens once a year; becoming an investor is a year-long training process that leads up to the main event.

Joe Pianelli is an operating partner at Stage 1 Ventures. He has over 35 years of experience in finance, corporate development, business formation, as well as senior level operating roles in technology, media and telecom (TMT) sectors.

He's been investing in emerging technologies for over 30 years, starting with agriculture in 2012 when he incubated VoloAgri, a vegetable seed technology and breeding company that went on to raise $140 million in capital funding. Current investment and board observer positions include: Invaio, Cibo Technologies, Freight Farms and Trace Genomics.

QuickBooks Intermediate

 

QuickBooks Intermediate is the second step in a three part workshop series. Learn how to manage and secure company files, list items, order and sell inventory and how to apply vendor discounts. We will cover best practices for the online and desktop platforms of the QuickBooks software.

Led by Damon Watkins, the Director of Finance & Operations for Cal Poly Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship. He is a motivated, personable business professional with a 15+ year track record in multiple aspects of financial control, management and policies/procedures.
