March 17th is #SBDCDay

The 5th Annual #SBDCDay is being celebrated today, March 17th. SBDC Day is a national, collective proclamation of the impact America's Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs) have on the success of our nation's dreamers, innovators, and doers- America's small businesses.

SBDC Day unites the nearly 1,000 SBDC centers across the county and the hundreds of thousands of clients they serve. The Central CA SBDC hosts 6 centers, serving a total of 14 different counties across central California.

SBDC director, Kelly Bearden will discuss provisions for small businesses in the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan signed last week. He will also review a new state employer resource portal for COVID-19 industry specific guidance, plus updates on PPP. Other topics include the new City of Bakersfield ReStart Loan-to-Grant Program, updates on the California Relief Grant program, Employee Retention Tax Credit extension, & SBA guidance on the Shuttered Venues Operator Grant program.
