Host and SBDC director, Kelly Bearden focuses on essentials for small businesses to become “loan ready” including several necessary factors to start or place a company in position to expand and grow through acquiring capital. Kelly also discusses the recent deadline extension to file the Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) reporting requirements under the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA).

Guest Dr. Deborah Cours, dean of CSU Bakersfield’s College of Business and Public Administration (BPA) and executive director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation gives and update on the importance of the university’s BPA to regional economic development.
