Two USDA Rural Development representatives will be on hand to discuss the $31 million grant program for agricultural producers known as the Value-Added Producer Grant (VAPG) on this week’s free webinar presented by the Small Business Development Center at CSU Bakersfield.  
 
“Webinar Wednesday” will be online Wednesday, Feb. 22 from 12 noon to 1 p.m. 
 
Host and SBDC director, Kelly Bearden will be joined by Sandra Pedrotti, statewide VAPG program coordinator for USDA Rural Development. She will discuss the essentials of applying for program funds and opportunities for producers to access grant funding.  
 
Also joining the discussion will be Dan Johnson, Business & Cooperative Programs Director for USDA Rural Development. He will discuss the many ways his organization can assist small businesses and farms. 
 
Kelly Bearden will begin the webinar with a look at the economy, capital resources, and small business recovery opportunities. 
 
Questions from attendees will be taken.
