This webinar will focus specifically on federal grant funding opportunities for AgTech through the National Science Foundation (NSF) and United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) grant programs.  Participants will learn about funding to conduct research and development leading to commercialization of novel AgTech innovations and technologies. This presentation will cover the following:

¨   Overview of the SBIR and STTR programs

¨   Qualifications and eligibility requirements for SBIR/STTR funding

¨   AgTech topic areas that NSF and USDA are interested in funding

¨   A review of the NSF and USDA SBIR/STTR solicitations

¨   Process for preparing a SBIR/STTR proposals for NSF and USDA

¨   Tips for increasing your success in securing SBIR/STTR funding

 

Presenter:  Charles Eason is a SBIR/STTR Advisor with Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and has been providing counseling and training on SBIR/STTR funding since 1995.  In addition to providing training and counseling, Mr. Eason has direct experience with the SBIR/STTR program through his company, OPTEMA Development Corporation, which is a past National Science Foundation (NSF) Phase I, Phase II, and Phase IICC STTR awardee.
