Helping Your Business Start, Grow and Succeed

Learn requirements of California’s new Workplace Violence Prevention Plan (WVPP) including procedures on how to respond, report, and communicate with employees about violent workplace incidents, names of people responsible for implementing and maintaining the plan, and more.

On this week’s free webinar, SBDC director Kelly Bearden is joined by Celeste Young-Ramos, CEO of the Restaurant Success Center and a SBDC consultant on HR. Celeste provides elements of the new California Workplace Violence Prevention Plan put in place by Senate Bill 553 that requires many employers to create a WVPP by July 1. A link to the Cal/OSHA fillable form to create a plan is provided below.

This marks the 323rd episode of the “Webinar Wednesday” business series that provides news and information helpful to employers and business owners.

The CSU Bakersfield Small Business Development Center provides free one-on-one consulting to help small business owners. New and existing businesses can sign up to meet with a consultant at no cost by clicking here!
